Christopher W. Mahowald
President and Founder

Mr. Mahowald is responsible for the origination, analysis, structuring and execution of new investment activity for RSF.

Prior to forming RSF in January 1997, Mr. Mahowald was a partner in the Robert M. Bass Group where he was a founding principal of the Brazos Fund, a $250 million real estate private equity fund, Lone Star Opportunity Fund, a $420 million real estate private equity fund, and Colony Capital.  During his association with the Bass Group, Mr. Mahowald played a key role in the acquisition and management of over $8 billion in real estate assets.

Mr. Mahowald received a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and BS in Mathematics from the Santa Clara University.  He serves on the Management Board at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Board of Directors of Capstead Mortgage (NYSE: CMO).
